How to record videos and how to make screenshots?
How to Record a demo:
To record a demo, be it for personal reasons or evidence before a ban, you must be in the server at the time.
Open console by pressing the tilde key (~) , which is on top of TAB and to the left of the number 1 on your keyboard.
Once open, type in /record [name].
For [name] insert the name you want the demo to be called, such as Iseeahacker.
Then exit console (~).
This will start recording a demo of everything you see on your ET screen and will be saved as Iseeahacker.
In short, for those who are too lazy to read:
1. Open console (~)
2. Type /record [name of demo]
3. Exit console (~)
Example: /record Iseeahacker
Once a demo is recorded you may want to view it for personal pleasures or to double check a hacker.
How to locate a demo:
To locate a recorded demo, just follow the steps below.
Go to My computer> C:/ > Program Files > Wolfenstein Enemy Territory > Jaymod > Demos
Now depending on your O/S, Program files may be different.
Also, if you recorded a demo in, lets say etpro, you will look in the etpro folder, not the Jaymod folder.
To view a demo:
To view a demo, simply go to a server that ran the same mod that you took the demo from.
For example, when you took the demo in FBI Grey which runs Jaymod 2.1.8, you will go to a server that is currently running Jaymod 2.1.8.
The demo will not work in Jaymod 2.1.7, so join a server that runs 2.1.8.
Once in the server, open console and type /demo [name]
This will start the demo that you had recorded at an earlier time, or if you were given a demo to look at.
In short, still for those lazy bums:
1. Join a server which ran the same mod when you took the demo.
2. Open console (~)
3. Type /demo [name of demo]
This is just a quick and very basic tutorial to take demos. Once the demo is taken, it can be viewed, slowed down and using a few certain commands such as r_shownormals 1, look for hacks.
There should be no excuse from any member that they cannot take demos and must take x-fire videos instead.
To upload your demo for posting in the banlist and for sharing with other people upload it to a free filehosting service. The more commonly used ones here include..
www.megaupload.com
www.mediafire.com
How to take a screenshot
To take a screenshot of the console or someones ban-info so you don't forget it simply

2. Type /screenshotjpeg (name) Example: /screenshotjpeg IseeaHacker
3. Close console (~)
Your screenshot should be saved in C:/ > Program Files > Wolfenstein Enemy Territory > Nitmod (mod can different)> Screenshots
